Shake... Shake... Shake... zzz

I was slumped into my chair, having worked overnight the day before, I was a little dazed, idly doing my work like a lifeless zombie.

My boss was answering the phone just beside my table when I felt it sway... gently together with my chair, it was like, riding in a boat on idle waves. I thought my boss struck hit the table with his thigh, but does he have to hit it repeatedly?

Oh that's interesting, my boss isn't connecting any part of him to my desk, and I could hear the false ceiling above me creak.

Right, I need a good shake, and a lullaby too. I'm dead tired from last night's continuous work. Earthquake? I didn't think of it. Oh well, I guess the whole office is too numb to realise that it's an earthquake... like, it's only barely felt. But it seemed enough to make the next door neighbours go scatter like critters.

Oh anyway, it's nearing lunch time, so might as well... head for an early one...

Darn, have to go down the stairs. They shut off the elevators. Ugh.
